Medicare / Insurance
The Medicare Allowable for the U-Step is up to ~$500, thereby making the U-Step very affordable. In-Step Mobility is also in-network with some private insurances.
Individuals are encouraged to call the main office – (800) 558-7837 – if they have any questions related to Medicare or private insurance.
In addition to Parkinson’s Disease, many other neurological conditions may qualify for reimbursement, including but not limited to, Multiple Sclerosis, Balance Disorders, Brain Injuries, ALS, PSP/MSA, Ataxia and Stroke.
The U-Step Neuro Walker’s Medicare codes (HCPCS) are:
– E0147: “Walker, heavy duty, multiple braking system, variable wheel resistance”
– E0156: Seat Attachment for Walker
In addition, the Platform U-Step Neuro Walker has an additional Medicare code:
– E0154: Platform attachment for a walker
